What you are buying

A named spot on one iPhone Duo, for the period described on the spot. Back and accessory spots are die-cut vinyl on the physical device. Screen spots are lock-screen wallpaper tiles for the auction period plus 30 days. You also get a link from this page for as long as the page is up.

You are not buying a guaranteed number of impressions, a guaranteed audience, or any commercial return. I cannot honestly promise those, so I do not.

Bidding

• Every bid must beat the standing bid by that spot's increment.
• Placing a bid charges the full bid amount. The bid does not stand until that payment clears.
• A bid placed in the last ten minutes extends that spot's close by ten minutes, so a spot cannot be won by sniping the clock.
• Bids cannot be withdrawn once the payment clears.

Payments are final

This is the part to read twice. When you bid, you pay in full and the spot is yours until somebody pays more for it. If that happens, your payment is not returned. It stays in the pot that buys the phone. What you bought was the time you held the spot and the right to take it back by bidding again, not a guarantee of the sticker.

This holds in every case, including if you win and change your mind, and including the remote case where the phone itself is delayed or never ships. The spot goes back to the auction, and the money already in stays in the pot that pays for it.

Approval

I review every logo before it appears. I will decline gambling, adult content, speculative tokens, anything targeting a private person, and anything I would not want to hold up in a room full of builders. Declining is at my discretion.

Winning

When the auction closes, the winning bid is already paid in full. I order the phone, make the vinyl, and prepare the placement for the winner.

Payments

Dodo Payments is the merchant of record. Their terms govern the payment itself, including tax. Amounts are charged in US dollars; any rupee figure on this site is an approximate conversion for reading, not the amount charged.
